In a small bowl prepare the spice mix by adding garlic powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well and set it aside.
Cut each tilapia fillet into 2 pieces. Pat them dry. Brush melted butter on both sides of the fillet and rub the spice mix on both sides of the fish really well.
Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick frying pan. Once the oil is hot, add the spice coated tilapia fillet.
Cook the fillet for 2 minutes each side or until cooked through and flaky.
Serve the hot spicy pan seared Tilapia with homemade ranch dressing.
