Oven Roasted Broccoli with Garlic & Parmesan | Easy Roasted Broccoli Recipe

  • Broccoli – 2 medium heads, about 500 gms in total
  • Garlic – 6 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil – 4 tbsp
  • Parmesan cheese – ¼ cup, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chilli flake – 2 tsp (optional)
  1. Preheat your oven to 200 C / 400 F and place the rack at the center of the oven.
  2. Cut the broccoli heads into bite-sized pieces. Trim off excess stem. Wash them thoroughly and let them sit in a colander for 15 minutes to let all excess water drain off.
  3. Now arrange the broccoli in a baking sheet in a single layer; arranging in single layer is important, else not all of them will come in contact with heat uniformly which is result into uneven charring.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil and sprinkle minced garlic, salt & pepper all over. Give the broccoli florets a good mix. Once mixed, make sure to rearrange the broccoli florets in single layer again.
  5. Now bake the broccoli in preheated oven for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, take them out, then flip each florets over and return them back to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes, take them out and sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese all over the broccoli. Also sprinkle the chilli flakes at this stage if using.
  7. Plate the baking sheet back in the oven for final 5 minutes or until the cheese melts. Then take them out and serve this scrumptious oven roasted broccoli with your favorite grilled meat as the perfect side! Enjoy!
