Ingredients for banana oats muffins
Rolled oats: Old fashioned rolled oats is the primary ingredient of these healthy banana oats muffins. You need to grind the dry oats to make oats flour. Try a good quality rolled oat which will give you delicious oats muffins.
If you are in India, I recommend my favorite True Element rolled oats (not sponsored).
Banana: 2 to 3 nicely riped bananas will give the moisture and softness to your banana oats muffins. Since these muffins have zero oil or butter, having a good amount of soft and ripe mashed bananas will keep them soft.
Honey: My choice of sweetener was a good quality organic honey. I used about half a cup of honey which won’t turn out overly sweet muffins for the given amount of oats flour; if you prefer more on the sweeter side, add a couple of tablespoons more.
Eggs: A couple of eggs is what you require to churn out tender and nicely risen muffins. Use eggs at room temperature so that they mix well with the muffin batter.
Milk: After I started my healthy living journey, I re-discovered this magical nutritional powerhouse called milk! It not only curbs your hunger, but also fills you with incredible amounts of goodness; so I can’t be happy enough when I get to use a cup of this liquid gold in my banana oats muffins.
Baking powder: The leavening agent used in these banana oats muffins is our good old baking powder. Couple of teaspoons of baking powder will do the trick for a bunch of perfectly risen banana oats muffins!
Vanilla extract: The reason that the aroma of baked goods fills your soul with good vibes is nothing but vanilla extract. Use a high quality pure vanilla extract for best results!
Salt: A pinch of salt will bring out the best flavors of all ingredients when combined together and baked to perfection!
Chocolate chips: To make your healthy muffins look tempting, all you need is a kiss of chocolate chips!
